Efforts to secure DNS worldwide with DNSSEC achieved a long anticipated milestone in July with the signing of the top level root zone. Top level domains .ORG and .EDU quickly followed and are now securely delegated. Most top level domains including .NET and .COM are scheduled to follow over the next 6 months.
